You step out of the door, turn the corner and within two minutes you are on the Marina di Pisa promenade: the sea in front of you, the rocks where you can sit and watch the sunset. Then you head back to Casa dei Remi, one street away.

The name comes from the headboard of the bed, made of wooden oars in different shades, and from the blue that colours the walls. It is a bright one-bedroom apartment on the ground floor, for up to 4 guests, with the entrance straight from the pavement and for the exclusive use of those who book it.

Inside, an open space in blue and yellow ties everything together: the kitchen, with induction hob, oven and dishwasher, the table with four chairs where you can have breakfast with the moka pot, the sofa that turns into a bed for two in the evening. There is no door to the sleeping area, just a wooden bookcase, and the double bed is the one with the oars. The bathroom has a rain shower; the laundry room, with washing machine and tumble dryer, comes in handy if you stay a few days longer. Wi-Fi, air conditioning for both heating and cooling and well-insulating windows make the house comfortable in every season. Outside there is a small private space of 1-2 square metres, for hanging out laundry, airing the house or smoking a cigarette: smoking is not allowed indoors.

In the interest of full transparency: the sleeping area is open-plan, with no door, and parking nearby is mostly on blue-line spaces, paid only in summer, with free white-line spaces a few streets further on. For coffee there is a moka pot, not a coffee machine.

Pisa airport is about 20 minutes by car, Piazza dei Miracoli and the Leaning Tower about 25, Livorno about 25; the church of Santa Maria Assunta on the seafront is about 8 minutes on foot.
